Why My Middle School Daughter's Math Score Improved by 18 Points Revealed
Survey of Middle and High School Students Using Math Problem Bank Solution 'MathFlat'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] EduTech company Freewill announced on the 26th that students who studied using its self-developed math question bank solution 'MathPlat' showed an average increase of more than 18 points in their math scores.
This figure was obtained from a performance verification event targeting teachers at schools, academies, and study rooms subscribed to MathPlat, comparing the results of the final exam against the midterm exam in math for the first semester. The students whose scores were recorded are middle and high school students.
Last year, MathPlat confirmed an average increase of 13.2 points after 12 months through responses from more than 300 participants. Going forward, MathPlat plans to share various cases of improved math scores and educational methods, introducing diverse learning effects.
MathPlat possesses 670,000 math problems and is used in more than 4,000 locations including academies, tutoring centers, study rooms, and schools in areas such as Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. A MathPlat representative stated, "As the so-called ‘supoja’ (students who give up on math) rate is gradually increasing in Korea’s middle and high school academic achievement evaluations, it is necessary to provide customized problems so that students can maintain interest and engagement in math." They added, "In fact, overseas countries like the UK are efficiently managing one-to-many student instruction through customized math education, increasing students’ interest in math."
