Ulsan Fire Headquarters Operates CPR Experience Booth During National (Disabled) Sports Festival
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The Ulsan Fire Department operated a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) experience center at the Ulsan Sports Complex during the 103rd National Sports Festival and the 42nd National Para Games, receiving great responses from citizens.
The experience center was staffed by 119 paramedics and volunteer firefighters trained in CPR, with 1,767 participants including athletes and citizens over the 13-day event.
The experience included ▲ CPR practice for cardiac arrest patients ▲ use of automated external defibrillators (AED) ▲ emergency treatment applying the Heimlich maneuver for airway obstruction cases.

A Fire Department official said, “Operating the experience center was a meaningful time for many citizens to take greater interest in safety,” and added, “We plan to continue operating CPR experience centers at major event venues so that many citizens can respond effectively in emergency situations.”
