Shinhan Investment Corp. Enters US Silicon Valley... First Domestic Securities Firm to Do So
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Shinhan Investment Corp. is the first domestic securities company to enter Silicon Valley in the United States.
Shinhan Investment Corp. announced on the 26th that it opened its Silicon Valley office in Palo Alto, California, and has begun full-scale operations. This is the first time a securities company has established a local office in Silicon Valley.
The local office will serve as a foothold for building a global venture ecosystem connecting domestic and overseas markets, based on Shinhan Investment Corp.'s investment banking (IB) capabilities and Shinhan Financial Group's global network. Shinhan Investment Corp. currently operates local subsidiaries in New York, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Indonesia, and has an office in Shanghai, China.
