Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Supports Investment Attraction for Traditional Culture Startup Companies
Distribution and Investment Consultation Meeting Held... Participation from Fifteen Distributors and Others
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation will hold the 'Traditional Culture Youth Early-Stage Startup Distribution and Investment Consultation' on the 26th at the Bankers Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul. This event aims to help youth early-stage startups in the traditional culture sector secure distribution channels and attract investment. It was held for the first time last year, recording consultation results of approximately 12 billion KRW.
This year, eighty-six companies including Pound Corporation, Sogussi, and Waenji will participate. They will meet with fifteen distributors such as Lotte ON, TMON, and the Small and Medium Business Distribution Center, as well as five investment institutions to discuss purchases and investments.

On the 19th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held an online briefing session providing information on entering large platforms and market entry strategies in advance. To increase the possibility of securing distribution channels and attracting investment, a second consultation will be held on the 14th of next month. Kim Hye-ju, Director of the Traditional Culture Division at the Ministry’s Culture and Arts Policy Office, stated, "We will expand support to help youth startups in the traditional culture sector take off and assist in developing overseas sales channels."
