Damyang County Forestry Cooperative Conducts 'Ommamu and Dureup Tree Cultivation Training'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Damyang County Forestry Cooperative announced on the 24th that it conducted training on the cultivation of forest products (Eucommia ulmoides and Aralia elata) on the 22nd at the Dambit Agricultural Hall, attended by about 100 cooperative members and forestry workers.
This training was provided to enhance the competitiveness of workers in the challenging forestry sector, aiming to promote forestry technology dissemination and improve management mindset to create a prosperous Damyang through increased competitiveness.
The instructor was Mr. Kim Juwon, operator of the YouTube channel 'Korean Farmer,' who conducted the training based on practical cultivation experience, covering the selection, cultivation, and distribution of forest products 'Eucommia ulmoides and Aralia elata.'
County Governor Lee Byungno attended and stated, “To create a prosperous and wealthy rural area, we are currently promoting a research project with a budget of 30 million KRW to discover and foster forest-specialized crops suitable for Damyang for the first time, and we are making efforts for the development of forestry.”
