Don Spike Arrested and Indicted on Charges of Drug Use and Purchase
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Famous composer and singer Don Spike (45, Kim Min-su), who is accused of multiple drug use and purchase, has been indicted while in custody.
On the 21st, the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office announced that Don Spike was indicted in custody on charges of violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (psychotropic drugs). Some accomplices sent along with Don Spike were also indicted in custody. The rest were indicted without detention.
Don Spike is accused of using methamphetamine 14 times and purchasing about 45 million won worth of methamphetamine 9 times. Among the 14 times he used drugs, 5 times were with others, and he was found to possess about 20g of methamphetamine. Additionally, it is known that from December last year to September this year, Don Spike jointly purchased methamphetamine with a brothel owner and used drugs with two female hostesses in the Gangnam district of Seoul.
Earlier, the prosecution extended Don Spike's detention period once to continue the investigation. According to the Criminal Procedure Act, the prosecution can extend the detention period once with court approval within a period not exceeding 10 days.

The Seoul Nowon Police Station arrested Don Spike at a hotel in the Gangnam district on the 26th of last month. The police applied for an arrest warrant to the Seoul Northern District Court, and the warrant was issued on the 28th of last month.
