Gimhae City Goes All Out to Protect Students After College Entrance Exam Completion
Intensive Inspection of 988 Entertainment Venues Including Noraebang Karaoke Rooms
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Seryeong] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, will conduct intensive inspections targeting 988 entertainment establishments, including nightclubs, karaoke bars, and singing practice rooms, from the 24th of this month until December 30th.
The city announced on the 21st that the inspections aim to preemptively block illegal business activities at entertainment facilities, prevent youth who have taken the college entrance exam (Suneung) from entering harmful establishments, curb juvenile delinquency, and protect young people from harmful environments.
The main inspection items include ▲illegal business operations violating the type of business ▲compliance with obligations by business operators ▲adherence to facility standards by business type ▲personal hygiene management and health checkups of employees ▲compliance with food handling standards, among others.
The city plans to send advisory text messages containing inspection details to all establishments in advance to encourage voluntary participation from business owners.
After the advisory period, through intensive inspections, if violations are detected, the city intends to take strong administrative measures to eradicate illegal business activities.

An official from the city's Hygiene Department stated, “We will preemptively block illegal business activities at nightclubs, karaoke bars, and singing practice rooms,” adding, “To prevent juvenile delinquency and create a healthy social environment where youth can grow up safely, we will continue to carry out guidance and inspections.”
