The Korea Voice Actors Association is a non-profit organization that has existed for about 60 years and currently has approximately 800 members across 7 broadcasting companies' theatrical groups.
SKT and the Korea Voice Actors Association stated that they believe voice actors will be able to demonstrate their skills in the metaverse world, where communication is centered around voice and avatars. Both parties will jointly plan, operate, and promote content and support voice actors to grow as Ifland influencers.
For example, since the 3rd of this month, SKT has been presenting a metaverse live play titled ‘Nimam Naemam Role Agency Corporation’ performed by voice actors affiliated with the Korea Voice Actors Association on Ifland. The performances, held every Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM, have attracted about 2,000 viewers over five shows.
Yang Maeng-seok, Head of SKT Metaverse CO, said, “With the influx of Korea’s representative voice masters from the Korea Voice Actors Association into Ifland, we expect the quality of Ifland content to be significantly enhanced,” adding, “Following the regular content lineup introduced this month, we will continue to present new metaverse content.”
