Gwangju Seo-gu to Hold 'Content Contest' Until the 11th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Yi-gang) is recruiting works to participate in the ‘Sustainable Development Content Contest’ to raise residents' interest in sustainable development and build consensus.
According to Seo-gu on the 19th, the theme of this contest is ‘Sustainable Development Starting from Me,’ and any resident interested in sustainable development can participate.
The contest categories include videos, posters, webtoons, and other purely creative content related to sustainable development. Participants can apply by filling out the application form on the Seo-gu Office website and submitting it via email by the 11th of next month.
Seo-gu will evaluate the submitted content based on clarity, creativity, impact, and completeness, and announce a total of 31 winning works by the end of next month, including ‘Grand Prize (2)’, ‘Excellence Award (4)’, ‘Encouragement Award (6)’, and ‘Effort Award (19)’, awarding a total prize money and certificates worth approximately 4 million KRW.
The winning works will be used as promotional materials to spread awareness of sustainable development among residents through Seo-gu Office’s SNS channels and website in the future.
Meanwhile, Seo-gu demonstrated its role as a leading local government in sustainable development by winning the Minister of Environment Award at the ‘24th Korea Sustainable Development Awards Contest’ hosted by the Ministry of Environment and organized by the National Sustainable Development Council last August.
