At the Supreme Council meeting that day, Lee said, "Banks, which can be considered social strongholds, must never engage in excessive interest rate profiteering against ordinary citizens or powerless businesses, making their survival difficult."
He also emphasized, "The Democratic Party will do its best to ensure the success of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Megacity (super metropolitan special local government)." Lee added, "The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam special alliance is believed to have been a pledge made by our President Yoon Seok-youl. Especially, it is difficult for South Korea to continue developing under a unipolar metropolitan area system. It is right for the government and ruling party to strive to uphold the president's promise."
Lee also remarked, "Today marks the 74th anniversary of the Yeosun (Yeosu-Suncheon) Incident," criticizing, "No one has yet taken responsibility for this state violence crime."
He continued, "Crimes involving human rights violations due to state violence will definitely be held accountable someday," and said, "To exclude the statute of limitations for civil cases and prevent case fabrication, the Democratic Party will definitely enact a law to suspend the statute of limitations during the tenure of state officials involved in investigation and prosecution."
