Sunchon National University Confirmed for 'Multipurpose Smart Career and Employment Counseling Room' Construction Project

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seonsik] Suncheon National University (President Ko Youngjin) University Job Center recently announced that it has been confirmed to participate in the ‘Multi-purpose Smart Career and Employment Counseling Room Construction Project’ organized by the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Innovation Platform University Education Innovation Headquarters to strengthen employment capabilities.

The ‘Multi-purpose Smart Career and Employment Counseling Room Construction’ project aims to improve the infrastructure environment for student-customized employment education and is scheduled to be established by January 2023 on the 2nd floor of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Building’s University Job Center employment counseling room at Suncheon National University.

The counseling room will be equipped with a smart remote video education system worth up to 80 million KRW and will be used as a space for various employment support services such as video career and employment counseling and non-face-to-face interview support for current students and unemployed youth, hosting online recruitment briefings, providing small-scale student employment activity spaces, and fully equipped employment information search rooms.

Sim Sangdeok, head of the University Job Center at Suncheon National University, stated, “With the improvement of the smart educational environment in the career and employment counseling room linked to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Innovation Platform joint curriculum student-customized employment capability enhancement support project, we expect effects such as increased employment rates of our university graduates and enhancement of the university’s image.” He added, “We will continue to strengthen the support system to provide customized one-stop career and employment support services to current students and local youth.”
