After touring the rice harvesting site, Mayor Park personally boarded a combine harvester to assist with the rice cutting work and shared the joy of the harvest while chatting with the farmers.
He also expressed his gratitude to the farmers who, despite many difficulties such as abnormal weather in spring and typhoons in summer, worked hard in rice cultivation and reaped the fruits of their labor.
The city is making every effort to control rice pests and diseases, which have rapidly spread due to abnormal weather, by additionally supporting drone spraying and providing fungicides and insecticides. This year, the rice cultivation area in Miryang City is expected to reach 4,676 hectares, with a production volume of 34,602 tons.
