Suwon City to Conduct Comprehensive Investigation on Possible Abuse of 3-Year-Old Children
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a full survey to determine whether children aged 3 (born in 2018) being raised at home are subject to abuse.
This survey is part of the "e-Child Happiness Support Project 4th Quarter Full Survey 2022" led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Suwon City investigated 1,056 cases in the first to third quarters.
The survey began on the 11th of this month and will continue until December 31.
Responsible public officials will visit homes to consult with parents and check the condition of the children. The survey targets 717 three-year-old children excluding those enrolled in kindergartens and daycare centers.
Suwon City will immediately report any children suspected of being abused based on the survey results and connect families facing economic difficulties with welfare services.
