A Man in His 40s Stabs Fellow Homeless Person with a Knife at Seoul Station During an Argument While Drunk
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A man in his 40s who stabbed a fellow homeless person with a weapon during an argument while drinking has been arrested by the police.
On the 11th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that they had detained Mr. A (46) on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing the victim multiple times in the abdomen on the evening of the 7th around 6:30 PM while they were both homeless together. He told the police that he had been drinking with the victim near Exit 15 of Seoul Station, got into an argument, and impulsively stabbed the victim with a weapon he was carrying.
Police, who responded to a citizen's report, arrested Mr. A near the crime scene around 8 PM that same day through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage. Additionally, the weapon used in the crime was found in a trash can inside Seoul Station. The victim was immediately transported to a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

A police official stated, "We are investigating the detailed circumstances of the crime and plan to send Mr. A to the prosecution."
