Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Jointly Appoints 'Legislative Monitor and Audit Administrative Assistants'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] On the 11th, the Gyeonggi Provincial Council held a joint commissioning ceremony for the 4th Legislative Monitors (40 members) and Administrative Audit Assistants (34 members).
The Legislative Monitors are a citizen monitoring group selected in a balanced manner by gender, generation, and region from citizens who applied from 31 cities and counties to collect opinions necessary for legislative activities, thereby securing representativeness.
The newly launched 4th Legislative Monitors will be active for two years until the first half of the 11th Provincial Council, proposing various policies and suggesting institutional improvements.
The Administrative Audit Assistants will be appointed by standing committees, including private experts, to support administrative audit-related tasks and legislative activities for eight weeks, ensuring the substance of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council's administrative audit, which will be conducted for two weeks starting November 4.
