Over 22,000 Visitors Attend Four-Day Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] It was reported that over 22,000 people visited the 'Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair' held over four days at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. During this period, Gyeonggi Province achieved a total of $7.17 million in export-related consultations.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 11th that 22,795 visitors attended the webtoon specialized exhibition '2022 Gyeonggi International Webtoon Fair,' held from the 6th to the 9th at KINTEX in Goyang City.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and co-organized by the Gyeonggi Content Agency and KINTEX, this event featured 120 webtoon companies and webtoon artists showcasing various works across 309 booths.
The exhibition saw a continuous flow of visitors, and events such as artist lectures and live webtoon voice actor audio shows received great responses. Cosplayers dressed as protagonists from popular webtoons also provided visitors with unique attractions.
In the business consultation meetings, 368 meetings resulted in export contracts worth $7.17 million. 'StoryWiz' and 'Toonimotion' signed a business agreement to collaborate on animation production using webtoon IP (intellectual property).
