View original image[Asia Economy, reporter Lee Gwanju] GC Green Cross announced on October 5 that it held a ceremony at its headquarters in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to mark its 55th anniversary.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, only a minimum number of people, including award recipients, attended the ceremony in person, while employees from 12 affiliates and business sites nationwide participated via a live online broadcast.
In his anniversary address, HeeSeop Hur, Chairman of GC (Green Cross Holdings), stated, "Since our founding in 1967, GC has walked a path of challenge and dedication to develop medicines that are difficult to make but absolutely necessary. Now, more than half a century later, we are taking on the great challenge of becoming a 'global total healthcare company.' Let us 'Great Challenge' and 'Great Commitment' for the future of GC, and turn it into a 'Great Company.'"
During the event, various awards were presented to employees who contributed to the company's growth, including the 'Green Cross Grand Medal.' The Grand Medal was awarded to Lee Sangkon, Senior Deputy Director of GC Green Cross Medical Foundation. The Green Cross Medal was awarded to four individuals: Heo Jeongho, Head of the External R&D Team at GC Green Cross Business Development Division; Kim Jeongsu, Head of the Flu Team in the Production Division; Heo Younggyu, Head of Technical Sales Team 2 at GC Green Cross EM; and Kim Taejeong, Head of the Tablet Team and Innovation Manufacturing Team at GC Green Cross Wellbeing Production Division. Group commendations were given to 15 teams, including the GC Green Cross Wholesale Team.

Additionally, 54 employees, including Lee Minkyoung, Head of the Talent Management Team at GC HR, received excellence awards, and 174 employees, including Byun Junpyo, Head of the External Cooperation Unit of the Domestic Sales Division at GC Green Cross, were recognized for their years of service.
