Fishing vessel A was caught during the process of loading 35 kg of juvenile blue crabs onto a transport vehicle after docking, and business B was caught displaying and selling juvenile blue crabs in their store.
Additionally, one fishing vessel that violated the order to stop capturing and harvesting after exceeding the TAC (Total Allowable Catch) quota for blue crabs was also reported.
According to the Fisheries Resources Management Act, anyone who catches, stores, or sells juvenile blue crabs with a carapace length of 6.4 cm or less faces imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 20 million won.
The city's Special Judicial Police plan to file charges against the caught fishing vessels and businesses for violating the Fisheries Resources Management Act and refer the cases to the prosecution.
