Environmental Improvements Including High-Efficiency LED Streetlight Maintenance on the Access Road to the Millennium-Old Temple Baekyangsa
Ongoing Social Contribution Activities Such as Safety Inspections of Vulnerable Facilities in the Local Comm
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Baegyangsa Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service and Beongyejeon Co., Ltd. announced on the 4th that they have signed a business agreement to practice ESG management and improve the local community environment.
The main agreement includes safety inspections and repairs of aging electrical facilities within the Baegyangsa temple grounds, social contribution activities such as maintenance of outdated electrical facilities for vulnerable groups in the local community, and cooperation between the national park and the company through electrical technical consulting and provision of information on new construction methods.
On the day of the agreement, the two organizations replaced the aging streetlights on the access road to Baegyangsa, the head temple of the 18th district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, with high-efficiency LED streetlights, and conducted electrical safety inspections on major park facilities.
The replacement with high-efficiency streetlights is expected to contribute to preventing safety accidents for nighttime visitors and to carbon neutrality through energy savings.
Through this agreement, both organizations have decided to strengthen ESG management for practicing carbon neutrality and environmental improvement by utilizing their resources, information, and networks.
Beongyejeon Co., Ltd., a company specializing in eco-friendly energy, plans to expand eco-friendly facilities within the national park by leveraging its electrical technical expertise and improve living environments by maintaining aging electrical facilities for vulnerable groups in park villages.
