Mayeojung Video Production Club 'Gaeuli Omyeon' Hits the Screen

This is because their submitted film script "When Autumn Comes" was being made into a movie for the youth short film category of the 2022 BIKY Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival.
The hands capturing the screenplay they wrote themselves on screen were no different from those of any director, actors, filming team, or props team.
The students focused on film production as they roamed around the school and alleys, which served as shooting locations.

View original image"When Autumn Comes" is a work originally by student Park Youngchae, adapted together by students Noh Hyeonjin, Yoon Subin, Lee Sugyeong, and Jeong Seoyeon. It tells the story of Bomi, Yeoreum, and Gyeoul, who set out to find their friend Autumn who disappeared one day, meeting suspicious people and experiencing the climate crisis through time travel.
The screenplay, selected as a pre-production funding project, is being pre-produced with support from the BIKY Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival and the 2022 Changwon Office of Education Changwon Happy Education District.
After a preview screening at the first half of 2023 BIKY Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival, it will be screened in the competition section throughout the festival held in July next year.

View original imageAccording to Masan Girls' Middle School, the video production club has been steadily engaged in creative activities for four years under the guidance of director Jeong Bogyeong, representative of Media Lab Flu Alert.
They produced the promotional video for Masan Girls' Middle School Happy School and won the gold prize at the 16th Gyeongnam Education Video Contest, the grand prize at the 2021 Middle School Film Festival, and the silver prize at the 18th Dodream Gyeongnam Youth Film Festival.
Director Jeong Bogyeong said, "It is gratifying that the work was selected for pre-production support at an international film festival, but it is even more remarkable and admirable that middle school students are interested in the climate crisis and are writing and producing film scripts."
Club advisor Maeng Nayoung said, "Despite difficult conditions, the students have created fun and impactful works," adding, "The screenplay is innovative, and the students' passion for video is comparable to professionals."

Students Noh Hyeonjin and Park Youngchae said, "We wrote about environmental issues, which we have always been interested in, as a screenplay, and it feels like a dream that it is being made into a film," and "We sincerely hope that the wonderful work we created with club members will be screened at the 2023 Busan International Kids and Youth Film Festival."
