The event was hosted by the World Vision Gyeongnam Ulsan Business Headquarters, sponsored by the city, and attended by about 1,000 participants including parents.
The 2022 Changwon Global Sharing Walking Event is a campaign inspired by the average distance of 6 km that children in developing countries walk daily to obtain water.
Participants walked a 6 km course to understand the hardships of children around the world and joined in beautiful and abundant sharing for children.
They also experienced various activities at booths set up at the event site, such as carrying water bottles while walking 6 km and child labor experience (panning for gold), providing time to empathize with the seriousness of child labor and the importance of drinking water.
All participation fees from the event will be used to support breakfast for undernourished children in the area and to install water facilities in overseas water-scarce countries, addressing drinking water and sanitation issues, preventing child labor in the long term, and creating educational environments.
