As of the 27th, Changnyeong-gun completed inspections on 56 out of 84 sites targeted for intensive safety inspections under the Safety Transformation initiative, including landslide-prone areas and family welfare facilities, achieving an inspection rate of 66%.
On the 21st, facilities at three sewage treatment plants (Changnyeong, Namji, Bugok) that process contaminated domestic sewage and factory wastewater were inspected to ensure that polluted water is not discharged untreated.
During safety inspections, minor issues were corrected on-site under the guidance of private experts, and facilities requiring repairs or reinforcement will undergo detailed inspections and prompt follow-up measures such as securing budgets.
