Shooting Incident at Russian School... At Least 13 Dead Including Students (Comprehensive)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] On the 26th (local time), a shooting incident occurred at School No. 88 in Izhevsk, the capital of the Udmurt Republic, Russia, resulting in at least 13 deaths including students and about 20 injuries.
According to TASS and Sputnik, an unidentified assailant entered School No. 88 on that day, killed a security guard, and then fired at students and others.
The authorities officially announced that a total of 9 people died, including 5 students, 2 teachers, and 2 security guards, but the death toll has risen. The exact number of injured has not yet been tallied, but about 20 people are reported to have been wounded.
Police were dispatched to the scene immediately after the report was received, but the perpetrator took their own life after the crime.

Alexander Brechalov, head of the Udmurt Republic, stated, "A tragic event occurred today at School No. 88 in Izhevsk," adding, "Detailed information about the incident will be available later through the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB)."
