National Gyeongju Museum to Host 'United We Are Hwarang' Starting Next Month
Conveying the Meaning of 'Gyoui-sin' Through Play Activities and Craft Experiences
The Gyeongju National Museum will hold "United We Are Hwarang" every Tuesday from next month on the 4th until December 6th, targeting 7-year-old kindergarten students. This educational program introduces the Hwarang's secular five precepts through play activities and hands-on crafting experiences. It focuses on "Gyoo-ui-shin (交友以信)," which means making friends based on trust, one of the secular five precepts. Through activities like the "One Mind Play," where participants express given words using the same gestures, children can naturally learn its meaning. After the play activities, participants also create a "Practice Magnet" to promise actions such as "praising friends" and "keeping promises with friends." For more details, please refer to the Gyeongju National Museum website.
