At a regular press briefing that morning, Commissioner Kim responded to a question about the need to re-summon Lee, who is under suspicion of sexual bribery, by saying, "Whether or not to do so will be judged comprehensively based on an overall review related to the investigation of false accusation and evidence tampering inducement." Earlier, the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Police Agency had on the 20th dismissed various hospitality allegations extending until around 2015, including the claim that Lee received sexual bribery twice in 2013 from the CEO of iKist, with a disposition of 'no prosecution' or 'no charges.'
However, the police are continuing their investigation into the cases of evidence tampering and false accusation filed against Lee. These cases involve allegations that in January, Lee instructed an associate to have a person from CEO Kim Sung-jin’s side write a '70 million won investment memorandum' and obtain a confirmation letter stating 'no sexual bribery occurred,' attempting to tamper with evidence. Additionally, Lee filed a complaint against the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute, which in turn filed a false accusation complaint against Kim Sung-jin’s side. When asked about the timeline for the investigation results, Commissioner Kim replied, "It is difficult to set a specific time as various factors need to be considered."

Regarding the Shindang Station clerk murder case, Commissioner Kim said, "I pray for the deceased’s soul and once again express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family." As a measure to prevent recurrence, he stated, "We have decided to review existing non-prosecution decisions, including about 400 stalking crime cases currently under investigation, by the 18th of next month." Commissioner Kim also revealed that in relation to the 'Second Nth Room' case, one suspect who distributed and disclosed personal information and one suspect who possessed or viewed sexual exploitation materials have been arrested and are under investigation. However, he added that the identification of the main suspect known as 'L' is still ongoing.
