The exhibition started the day before and the works will be displayed at Central Park in Songdo, Incheon until the 28th. On the 24th, an animal-making experience event using waste wood from Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul is scheduled to take place.
Although public interest in resource upcycling is increasing, it has been undervalued due to being made from recycled materials. POSCO Engineering & Construction explained that this exhibition was held to enhance the scalability of upcycling through junk art.
Named "Steel Art Season 3: Coexistence X3," this exhibition showcased works created using scrap metal left over from actual construction sites, bolts, nuts, iron pieces unused at Mullae-dong ironworks, as well as everyday discarded items such as cutlery holders and strainers.
Aligned with the theme of biodiversity, the works feature bees, stray cats, and whales?species threatened by the climate crisis?created through collaboration between three artists active in the Mullae area and local ironworkers.
