Supply of Goheung Agricultural Processed Products to European Meal Kit Market
Supplying Goheung Ingredients to Czech Republic, Poland, etc. through B2B Agreement with European Companies
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Sim Jeong-woo] On the 22nd, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that an agricultural product export pioneering team led by County Governor Gong Young-min signed an export agreement worth USD 1.4 million (KRW 2 billion) for yuzu, ginger, and processed agricultural products from Goheung with NutritionPro Co., Ltd., a company specializing in distributing meal kit products made from food ingredients in Central Europe, in Prague, Czech Republic.
NutritionPro Co., Ltd. CEO Nurlan Abdurasilov said, “We plan to create new healthy meal kit foods using Goheung’s unique and fragrant ingredients such as yuzu and ginger to offer to our customers.”
He added, “When I first encountered yuzu dressing dishes at a European restaurant in the past, it was a very fresh shock. Today, I am very pleased that the Goheung agricultural product export pioneering team visited Prague in person and promised to directly supply ingredients such as yuzu and ginger,” and said, “I believe this agreement will bring a special taste and impression to consumers through the collaboration of Eastern and Western foods.”
County Governor Gong Young-min said, “Amid the global growth of the meal kit market due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am very pleased as the governor of Goheung that Goheung’s yuzu and ginger products are being supplied as ingredients to the European meal kit product market.”
He continued, “We will do our best to ensure that not only yuzu and ginger but also various agricultural products from Goheung can be exported as meal kit ingredients to Europe. I ask NutritionPro Co., Ltd. to strive to make various products using Goheung ingredients beloved by all Europeans.”
Shin Seon-sik, head of the Fresh Food Division at Duwon Nonghyup, who participated in this Goheung agricultural product export pioneering team, said, “It is very encouraging that Goheung’s yuzu and ginger products are being exported to the distant European ingredient market. I expect this export agreement to be a great support for Goheung’s farmers, and Duwon Nonghyup will do its best to supply high-quality products to Europe.”
Meanwhile, the Goheung agricultural product export pioneering team previously signed export agreements worth USD 2.1 million (KRW 2.9 billion) with YUZU Co., Ltd., which supplies yuzu products in Plzen, Czech Republic, and USD 900,000 (KRW 1.3 billion) with Basic Crew Co., Ltd., specializing in group meal services in Prague.
