On the 21st, Choi In-ho, CEO of Ecobit, visited Pohang City and donated 100 million KRW to support the recovery efforts from the damage caused by Typhoon Hinnamnor in the Pohang area.
Donations have been received from various sectors, including 37.06 million KRW from Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency, 10 million KRW from Shinjin General Construction, 33 million KRW from Daegu Local Tax Association Dream Volunteer Group, 10 million KRW from Pohang City Council, 10 million KRW from Gyeongbuk Eastern Employers Association, 50 million KRW from Korea SGI, 5 million KRW from Pohang City and Ulleung-gun Saemaeul Geumgo Council, and 10 million KRW from Mir Dental Network. These funds are being used to support damage recovery and aid for the victims, with some allocated for relief supplies.
The Gyeongbuk Province City and County Council Chairpersons’ Association donated relief supplies worth approximately 5 million KRW, including bottled water and daily necessities; the Elders Union Corporation donated wallpaper and flooring materials worth about 3.5 million KRW; the Pohang Journalists Buddhist Association donated 100 blankets and pads worth 3 million KRW; and Takwoo Taeksinnae Clinic (Director) donated relief supplies worth 5 million KRW.
CEO Choi In-ho stated, “I hope that through swift disaster recovery, neighbors affected by the heavy rain can return to their normal daily lives as soon as possible.”
