Yeonggwang Bulgapsan Sangsa Flower Festival, Standing Tall as the Representative Autumn Flower Festival
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] The 22nd Yeonggwang Bulgapsangsa Flower Festival spectacularly opened on the 16th with a commemorative ceremony.
According to the county on the 20th, the 22nd Yeonggwang Bulgapsangsa Flower Festival, themed "The Red Wave of Sangsa Flowers, Blooming the Love of Youth," is being held from the 16th to the 25th at the Bulgapsa tourist area.
At the commemorative ceremony on the 16th, over 7,000 attendees including key guests, tourists, and county residents participated, delivering welcoming greetings through the opening declaration and Sangsa flower performance.
Additionally, celebratory performances by Park Jindo and Norazo, Sangsa flower media facade, and the county residents' song festival added to the impressive start of the festival for visitors.
This festival, held for the first time in three years, bloomed more beautifully than ever, making attendees forget past regrets.
About 150,000 tourists visited over the past three days of the festival, with the third day recording the highest number in the festival's history at 74,520 visitors.
This proves the tremendous popularity of the Sangsa flower festival. It is expected that about 300,000 people will visit during the festival period.
Kim Yongsik, chairman of the Sangsa Flower Festival Promotion Committee, said, "Various programs such as Sangsa Flower Path Walk, Moonlight Night Tour, Sangsa Flower Autumn Concert, Local Singers Festival, Residents' Autonomous Lively Square, Provincial Gugak Troupe Performance, and Sangsa Flower Wedding will continue to be held."
He added, "The Sangsa flowers will be in full bloom during the remaining period, so I hope families, friends, and couples visit to create beautiful memories."
