[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City will begin offering free influenza (flu) vaccinations for children aged 6 months to 13 years starting from the 21st.
Flu did not spread for two years following the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year, a flu advisory was issued on the 16th.
Following children, pregnant women can receive vaccinations starting October 5th, and those aged 75 and older from October 12th. Vaccinations for those aged 70 to 74 will begin on October 17th, and for those aged 65 to 69 on October 20th, sequentially.
Currently, there are 1,152 designated medical institutions for flu vaccinations in the Incheon area, and eligible individuals can visit the nearest medical institution according to the vaccination schedule regardless of their address.
Children and pregnant women can receive free vaccinations until April 30th of next year, but free vaccinations for seniors aged 65 and older are available only until the end of this year.
