Prosecution Arrests and Indicts Woman in Her 20s for Murder in Anyang 'Motel Birth Baby' Case

The Anyang Branch of Suwon District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 19th that Ms. A, a woman in her 20s, was indicted on charges of infanticide while in custody.
Ms. A, who is unmarried, is accused of giving birth to a baby boy in a motel bathroom in Manan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, around 2 a.m. on the 22nd of last month, and then killing the baby.
At the time, Ms. A left the baby's body inside the bathroom cabinet and checked out in the afternoon of the same day. Around 3 p.m., a cleaner who was cleaning the room discovered the deceased baby and reported it to the police, which led to the investigation.
