On the 18th (local time), Charles III posted on the Buckingham Palace website that he and his wife were deeply moved by the numerous condolences and support sent from the UK and around the world following the passing of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, over the past ten days.
He stated, "I was deeply touched by everyone in London, Edinburgh, Hillsborough, and Cardiff who spared no effort to pay tribute to the spirit of service of my beloved mother and the late Queen."
