Jeonnam Fire Department Begins 19-Week Training Course for 75 New Firefighters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) announced on the 19th that it held the '14th New Appointee Course Entrance Ceremony' and began training for the new course.
A total of 75 trainees (64 men and 11 women) who participated in the entrance ceremony started a 19-week residential training course at the Fire School located in Jangheung until January 27 of next year.
As new fire officers, they will acquire basic knowledge, fire-related laws and regulations, and various field skills necessary for disaster sites such as fire suppression, life rescue, and first aid, and will be assigned to fire stations within the province.
The new appointee course will be conducted with a focus on practical and hands-on training centered on the field to ensure smooth performance of duties when deployed to disaster sites, under the goal of 'cultivating professional firefighters strong in the field.'
