Gwangju Bukbu Fire Department Announces Open Recruitment for New Male Volunteer Firefighters
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Bukbu Fire Station announced on the 19th that it will publicly recruit new male volunteer firefighters interested in community safety and volunteer activities until the 30th of this month.
Volunteer firefighters, based on the Act on the Establishment and Operation of Volunteer Fire Brigades, assist in fire, rescue, and emergency medical services at fire disaster sites, while performing disaster prevention and safety guardian activities in the community, as well as various volunteer activities.
Currently, the Bukbu Fire Station Volunteer Fire Brigade consists of 2 main units, 7 regional units, and 4 specialized units, with 303 volunteer firefighters actively engaged.
Applicants must be male citizens of Gwangju Metropolitan City, residing or staying in Buk-gu, aged between 20 and under 65 years old, physically healthy, possess a strong spirit of cooperation, and have a dedicated volunteer spirit for community development.
Additionally, priority qualifications are given to those who are emergency medical workers, hold fire-related or information and communication certifications, or have fire-related academic background or experience.
