Hapcheon-gun Prepares 796.7 Billion KRW Budget for 2nd Supplementary Appropriation
Focus on Revitalizing the Local Economy and Resolving Resident Inconveniences
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam Province, submitted the second supplementary budget for this year to the county council, totaling 796.7 billion KRW, an increase of 63.4 billion KRW (8.64%) compared to the first supplementary budget.
The general account amounts to 796.7 billion KRW, an increase of 62.3 billion KRW (8.98%) compared to the first supplementary budget, while the special account is 40.7 billion KRW, up 1.1 billion KRW (2.78%) from the first supplementary budget.
The county stated that this supplementary budget was prepared focusing on the smooth implementation of key projects during the 8th elected administration, revitalization of the local economy, and alleviation of residents' inconveniences.
Looking at the expenditure budget by sector, increases were made as follows: agriculture, forestry, and marine products 13.9 billion KRW; land and regional development 14.0 billion KRW; transportation and logistics 8.2 billion KRW; culture and tourism 18.9 billion KRW; public order and safety 1.9 billion KRW; and environmental protection 4.2 billion KRW.
Major ongoing projects include ▲78 billion KRW for resolving residents' inconveniences and other resident-requested projects ▲80 billion KRW for agricultural infrastructure related to drought preparedness ▲62 billion KRW for the Hapcheon meteorite crater tourism resource development project ▲22 billion KRW for fertilizer price stabilization support ▲15 billion KRW for disaster prevention projects ▲24 billion KRW for river maintenance and dredging projects.
County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “We will always listen to the voices of the residents and do our utmost to realize administration that residents can feel. Once the budget is finalized, we will execute it as quickly as possible to increase residents' satisfaction.”

The supplementary budget will be finally confirmed after deliberation and resolution at the 266th Hapcheon County Council extraordinary session starting on the 22nd.
