"Unleash Your Artistic Talent to the Full!" ... Busan Office of Education Hosts 'Student Biennale'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Duyul] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the '2022 Busan Student Biennale' at three locations: Busan Citizens Park, Seomyeon Nori Maru, and Yeongdo Nori Maru from the 20th to the 28th of this month.
The event is held to cultivate harmonious character through students' aesthetic expression and artistic experiences, and to develop their artistic talents.
The biennale will open with an opening ceremony at 3 p.m. on the 20th at the Maze Exhibition Hall in Busan Citizens Park, featuring exhibitions and events such as the 'Art Class Exhibition' and the 'Student Artists Exhibition.'
Under the theme of 'An Artistic Journey Drawing Dreams,' the biennale will showcase the artistic talents honed by elementary, middle, high, and special education students during class hours.
A total of 1,800 two-dimensional and three-dimensional works created by students from 53 schools will be exhibited at the Maze Exhibition Hall in Citizens Park and Seomyeon Nori Maru.
At Yeongdo Nori Maru, there will be exhibitions of works by local artists and dialogue events with the artists, providing art experiences with experts.
Additionally, at the artist workshops in the Cultural Arts Village of Busan Citizens Park, 541 students from 22 schools will participate in everyday art experiences such as metal craft activities with artists.
Various side events, including teacher workshops aimed at improving art classes, are also prepared.
Kim Sun-ryang, Director of Elementary Education at the Busan Office of Education, said, "We hope this biennale will be a valuable experience for students to discover their artistic talents and nurture their dreams," adding, "We expect it to serve as an opportunity to foster students' proper character and activate artistic exchanges inside and outside schools."

The Busan Student Biennale is held every two years in conjunction with the Busan Biennale.
