Renault Korea Motors Labor and Management Hold 2022 Wage and Collective Agreement Signing Ceremony
No Disputes in Labor-Management Agreement Reached After 4 Years
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors held a signing ceremony on the afternoon of the 16th at the Busan plant, attended by labor and management representatives, to conclude the 2022 wage and collective bargaining agreement negotiations (wage and collective agreement) and reaffirm the company's new start following the name change earlier this year.
Starting with a preliminary meeting in May, Renault Korea Motors' labor and management held seven main negotiation sessions to reach an agreement on the 2022 wage and collective agreement, successfully producing a tentative agreement without any disputes. Subsequently, on the 31st of last month, the tentative agreement was approved with 54.1% support in a general employee vote. Today, Renault Korea Motors President St?phane Deblaise and Labor Union Chairman Jonggyu Park signed the agreement at the signing ceremony, marking the final conclusion of the 2022 wage and collective agreement.
By successfully concluding this year's wage and collective agreement without disputes for the first time in four years, Renault Korea Motors has demonstrated its production supply stability and reliability to partner companies preparing the Aurora project together. Renault Korea Motors is currently working on the 'Aurora' project, a hybrid joint model in collaboration with Renault Group and Geely Holding Group, aiming for a domestic market launch in 2024.
