On the 15th, the Jungbu Police Station in Seoul announced that at 2:49 p.m. that day, they applied to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office for an arrest warrant for Mr. A (31) on charges of murder.
Mr. A is suspected of chasing and killing Ms. B, a woman in her 20s who was patrolling at Sindang Station on the Seoul subway, with a weapon around 9 p.m. the previous day. Mr. A and Ms. B were colleagues at Seoul Metro and have been involved as perpetrator and victim in a criminal case since last year. Mr. A was accused by Ms. B on October 7 last year under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (filming using cameras, threats using filmed materials, etc.), and on January 27 this year for violating the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes.
