Gyeongsang National University Hosts Lecture by Author Kim Young-ha, 'Empathy is the Future'

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Gyeongsang National University Library will host a lecture titled "Empathy is the Future" by author Kim Young-ha, known for "Farewell," on September 28th at 2 PM in the Pioneer Auditorium of the International Language Institute at the Gajwa Campus.
This invited lecture is organized as part of the 2022 National University Development Project and is open to all members of Gyeongsang National University and local residents.
The Gyeongsang National University Library arranged this lecture to provide an opportunity for famous authors or notable figures whom students wish to meet to give special lectures, fostering understanding and intimacy with books.
It is also expected to create a user-friendly library culture by conducting cultural programs for university members and local residents.
Author Kim Young-ha, who will give the lecture, began his literary career in 1995 by publishing "Meditation on a Mirror" in the quarterly magazine "Review."
He won the 1st Munhakdongne Writer Award in 1996 for "I Have the Right to Destroy Myself," the 35th Dong-in Literary Award in 2004 for "Black Flower," and the 22nd Manhae Literary Award in 2007 for "Empire of Light."

He has written the prose trilogy "See," "Speak," and "Read," as well as the travel essay "The Reason for Travel," and appeared on the TV program "Alssulsinjap (Aladoomyeon Sseuldeneun Sinbihan Japgak Sajeon)" [meaning "Encyclopedia of Useless but Interesting Knowledge"].
