Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants to Hold 2nd ESG Certification Forum on the 23rd
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 15th that it will hold the 2nd ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Certification Forum on the 23rd.
The forum will focus on the application guidance for certification work standards related to sustainability reports, which the Institute established and distributed in July. Geunsik Hwang, Head of the Audit Standards Team at the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Jaekyung Shim, Director at Samil Accounting Corporation, and Junghwan Hwang, Partner at Samjong Accounting Corporation, will deliver presentations on the content and application methods of the guidance.
The guidance serves as a manual to assist certifiers when certifying ESG disclosure reports and was established based on the EER (Extended External Reporting) standards announced by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB).
