Barbitok Launches 'Hero Pattern' Campaign Supporting Skin Restoration Surgery for Firefighters
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] Babitok is launching the 'Hero Pattern' campaign to improve the treatment and social perception of firefighters.
On the 15th, Babitok announced that as an industry-leading company, it planned the campaign to support skin restoration surgeries for firefighters and to widely promote their dedication and sacrifice.
The campaign will run for about one month from September to October and consists of programs including ▲support for burn scar treatment and skin reconstruction surgery for firefighters ▲offline exhibitions ▲campaign videos ▲campaign support pages.
First, Babitok will select firefighters injured in the line of duty and support the costs of burn scar treatment and skin reconstruction surgery, which are classified as non-reimbursable items. It is known that 9 out of 10 domestic firefighters have experienced burn accidents, and although major burn areas such as hands, face, and neck are highly visible, there is a lack of support measures for scars after wound treatment. Babitok plans to donate a total of 100 million KRW to the Firefighters' Association for their scar treatment.
An exhibition expressing the noble sacrifice of firefighters and their glorious scars as motifs will also be held. The exhibition, held until the 26th at the complex cultural space Marong197, will feature paintings by Professor Park Ji-sook of Seoul National University of Education’s Department of Art Education, which powerfully depict the patterns within firefighters' scars, and photographic works by artist Park Hyun-sung that capture firefighters' scars without embellishment.
Additionally, Babitok has launched a webpage to introduce the campaign to users and encourage direct participation. When users click the 'Support' button, 2,000 KRW per click will be donated to firefighters. Babitok’s official YouTube channel has released an official campaign video featuring an actual interview with a firefighter struggling with burn scar treatment.

Yoo Doo-ho, Babitok CMO, said, "Most burn scars on firefighters remain on highly visible areas such as the face, neck, and hands, causing discomfort in daily life. By supporting burn scar treatment, we hope to help restore their daily lives and, through various campaign programs, raise greater awareness of firefighters' dedication and sacrifice among more people."
