GS25 Surpasses 1 Million Bottles Sold of Wonsoju Spirit... "Aiming for 3 Million Bottles by Year-End"
Achieving Cumulative Sales of 10 Billion KRW
At the convenience store GS25, a model is introducing the milestone of selling over 1 million bottles of Wonsoju Spirit.
View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] The distilled soju spirit "Wonsoju Spirit" launched by GS25 has surpassed cumulative sales of 1 million bottles and sales revenue of 10 billion KRW.
According to GS25 on the 15th, distilled soju sales from July to August this year increased 13 times (1281%) compared to the same period last year. This is the result of the record-breaking sales of Wonsoju Spirit.
The share of distilled soju sales, which was just about 2% of total soju sales, surged to 25.2%. The convenience store soju market, which had long been divided between Chamisul and Chum Churum products, has been reorganized into a three-power structure including Wonsoju Spirit.
The main customer base of Wonsoju Spirit was found to be 37.4% in their 30s and 33.1% in their 20s. This means that more than 7 out of 10 customers who purchased Wonsoju Spirit belong to the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).
GS25 doubled the supply volume of Wonsoju Spirit starting from Chuseok. By mobilizing the entire production line, the supply volume, which was previously 6 bottles per store per week (2 bottles per delivery, 3 times a week), was increased to a total of 12 bottles per store.
GS25 expects Wonsoju Spirit to achieve cumulative sales of 3 million bottles and sales revenue of 30 billion KRW by the end of this year.
