A man in his 50s indicted for false statements on YouTube claiming to have seen 'Julie' at a nightclub
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A woman in her 50s has been indicted on charges of making false statements that a woman named 'Julie,' whom she met at a nightclub in the past, was Kim Keon-hee, the wife of President Yoon Suk-yeol, through YouTube.
The Criminal Division 6 of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Jun-dong) announced on the 14th that on the 9th, it had indicted Kim, a woman in her 50s, without detention on charges of false statement disclosure under the Public Official Election Act and defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
The Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, which received the complaint and started the investigation, transferred the case to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office due to jurisdictional issues, and the latter indicted Kim.

Kim is accused of making statements to the YouTube channel 'Sisa-ui Pumgyeok' during the 20th presidential election, saying, "I saw Julie sitting next to Cho Nam-wook, then chairman of Sambu Construction, at the Renaissance Hotel nightclub, and she was Kim Keon-hee."
