Jeonnam Provincial Council Opens the 365th 1st Regular Session
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Council will convene the 365th 1st regular session for 15 days from the 15th to the 29th and begin the session operation.
This regular session will review agenda items including the approval of the 2021 fiscal year settlement and supplementary budget expenditures of the provincial government and the education office, the resolution for the formation of special committees, and various ordinances.
At the 1st plenary session held on the 15th, they plan to handle the "Resolution Urging the Prompt Passage of the Grain Management Act Amendment for Stabilizing Rice Prices during Harvest Season," proposed by Representative Choi Myung-soo, and the "Resolution Urging Additional Staffing at Local Children's Centers Due to the Obligation of Guardians to Accompany Children on School Buses," proposed by Representative Oh Mi-hwa.
Each standing committee will review the "Jeollanam-do Independent Patriots' Honor and Support Ordinance," proposed by Representative Kim Jae-cheol; the "Jeollanam-do Ceramic Culture Industry Promotion Ordinance," proposed by Representative Na Kwang-guk; the "Jeollanam-do High-Quality Rice Selection and Support Ordinance," proposed by Representative Shin Ui-jun; and the 2023 Jeollanam-do Investment and Contribution Agreement.
On the 26th and 27th, the Special Committee on Budget and Settlement will review the approval of the 2021 fiscal year settlement and supplementary budget expenditures, and the final resolution will be made at the 2nd plenary session on the 29th.
Spokesperson Choi Jung-hoon (Mokpo 4) stated, "This regular session will review whether the 2021 fiscal year budget was appropriately spent for the residents and prepare foundational ordinances to address urgent provincial administration issues."
