Gyeonggi Shinbo Yeoju Branch Opens on 13th... Holds Discussion Meeting to Discuss SME Support Measures
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Yeoju branch of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation opened on the 13th.
Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation announced on the 14th that it held an opening ceremony and a roundtable meeting with the Gyeonggi Provincial Council and businesspeople at the Yeoju branch to expand financial infrastructure in the province.
After the opening ceremony, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation held a roundtable meeting with the Provincial Council's Senior Welfare Committee and businesspeople to listen to the voices from the field of livelihood economy of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners struggling amid difficult economic conditions. They also exchanged opinions on practical support measures.
The attendees unanimously welcomed the opening of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Yeoju branch and expressed expectations for the rapid resolution of management difficulties of local companies and revitalization of the regional economy through the comprehensive support services of Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, the only policy financial institution in the province.
The attendees also shared broad opinions on stabilizing management of SMEs and recovering the regional economy amid worsening overall economic growth conditions due to the resurgence of COVID-19, prolonged Ukraine crisis, and triple hardships (high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates). They deeply agreed that fundamentally strengthening the growth foundation based on the expansion of social overhead capital and regulatory reform is necessary to overcome the crisis of the regional economy and achieve future growth.
Lee Min-woo, Chairman of Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, said, "This roundtable meeting was a valuable time to understand the difficulties and needs for overcoming crises that companies in the province are actually experiencing. Since its establishment, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation has been striving to provide financial support closer to the residents. Going forward, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation will continue to position itself as a reliable partner for the livelihood economy through continuous communication and cooperation with the province, cities and counties, and related organizations."
