Kiturami Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it will launch the '2023 Kiturami 3rd Generation Carbon Mat Ondol,' featuring the highest-grade specifications with a smart remote control, patented carbon heating wire, and premium fabric.
The 2023 Kiturami 3rd Generation Carbon Mat Ondol is the industry's first to equip a detachable smart remote control from the main unit, allowing all functions of the carbon mat to be operated from up to 7 meters away.
The smart remote control, equipped with an Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) touch panel, supports various Korean expressions and voice guidance functions. It charges when connected to the main unit without needing separate batteries, and has a USB Type-C charging port on the side, enabling charging without docking the main unit. It can be used for up to one week on a single charge, and touching the ambient light at the bottom of the main unit triggers an alarm to easily locate the remote control.
The core heating wire of the heating mat uses the patented 'Aramid Carbon Heating Wire.' It uses aramid material as the core wire, which is five times stronger than steel and withstands high temperatures up to 500℃, wrapped in a double special coating, and has passed 800,000 bending tests. The carbon heating wire emits far-infrared rays that deliver warmth deep into the skin and help improve immunity.
The mat’s quality has also been upgraded to premium. The fabric, which determines sleep quality, is a blend of Tencel fabric from Austria’s Lenzing and Aero Silver fabric, providing a soft touch, excellent moisture absorption, and outstanding antibacterial effects. The mat has obtained certification for children's textile products and passed safety tests for radon and thoron. It uses low voltage (mat DC 24V) for enhanced safety and has acquired Electromagnetic Field (EMF) certification, eliminating concerns about electromagnetic waves.
Additionally, the carbon heating wire inside the mat is fixed using a special heat pressing method, preventing wire detachment or overlapping, and the mat can be washed with water up to five times. Electricity costs are very low, about 1,200 KRW per month (based on 8 hours of daily use), which is one-quarter of conventional hot water mats.
The mat also incorporates various sleep technologies and convenience features that enhance sleep quality. These include an automatic temperature control system that maintains optimal sleep temperature according to body temperature changes during sleep, a sleep mode that keeps a cozy 33℃ temperature for 9 hours, a hot compress function that relieves fatigue at 50℃ for 2 hours, and separated heating that allows individual temperature control on each side of the mat in 1℃ increments to match each person’s body temperature.
Furthermore, it maximizes ease of use with Bluetooth functionality to control the carbon mat via smartphone, automatic ambient lighting that displays the mat’s temperature at a glance, and dual control functions that allow easy power on/off from the connector on the side of the mat.
