‘Books, a Walk to Find Myself’ September Reading Month Events Abundant... Ulsan Library Hosts Celebrity Lectures, Author Talks, Performances, and Special Exhibitions

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Dong-guk] Ulsan Library is hosting a variety of events in September, the Month of Reading, including a special lecture by a celebrity and a farewell greeting event titled ‘Meeting with Author Kim Young-ha.’
Under the theme ‘Books, a Walk to Find Myself,’ this event features six programs: ▲Themed book exhibition ‘Minimalist Living (Minimal Life) · Award-winning Works’ ▲Planned exhibition ‘Walking the Forest Path, Nordic Illustration Exhibition’ ▲Family musical performance ‘Anthony Brown - The Piggy Book’ ▲Lecture ‘Monster Child - Meeting with Author Lee Jae-moon’ ▲Celebrity special lecture farewell greeting ‘Meeting with Author Kim Young-ha’ ▲‘Booktuber Winter Bookstore, The Joy of Reading - Meeting with Author Kim Gyeoul.’
First, from July 1 to September 29, the themed book exhibition ‘Minimalist Living (Minimal Life) · Award-winning Works’ is on display at the 1st floor Children’s and Digital Materials Room and the 3rd floor General Materials Room.
Next, on the 16th, the planned exhibition ‘Walking the Forest Path, Nordic Illustration’ featuring original artworks and art prints by four Nordic children’s book illustrators will be held in the 1st floor exhibition hall.
On the 24th, at 11 a.m., the family musical performance ‘Anthony Brown - The Piggy Book’ will take place in the 1st floor auditorium, followed by a lecture titled ‘Monster Child - Meeting with Author Lee Jae-moon’ at 1 p.m. in the 2nd floor cultural classroom, where participants will have a time to understand their inner selves beyond discrimination and prejudice with author Lee Jae-moon, who wrote the book ‘Monster Child.’
On the 25th at 2 p.m. in the 1st floor auditorium, a special lecture will be held featuring bestselling author Kim Young-ha, who wrote ‘Farewell,’ ‘The Memory of a Murderer,’ and ‘The Reason for Travel.’ The lecture will be based on his new bestseller ‘Farewell’ and will cover humanities topics.
Along with the lecture, there will be a time for communication where citizens can ask questions they have been curious about.
Finally, on the 28th at 7 p.m. in the 2nd floor cultural classroom, the YouTube channel ‘Winter Bookstore’ will host ‘Booktuber Winter Bookstore, The Joy of Reading - Meeting with Author Kim Gyeoul,’ where a lecture on ‘Reading Books in the New Media Era’ will be given.
Applications for the special lectures and author talks open on September 13 at 10 a.m., and applications for the performances open on September 14 at 10 a.m. through the Ulsan Library website. The exhibitions can be viewed by any library visitor without prior application.
