Everland Roller Coaster Stops at 20m Height... Passengers Stranded for Over 10 Minutes
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] On the last day of the Chuseok holiday, a large roller coaster at Everland amusement park located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province, suddenly stopped operating during its run, causing passengers to evacuate.
According to Everland, around noon on the 12th, the ride "T Express" suddenly stopped about 20 meters above the ground during operation, leaving about 30 passengers stranded for about 10 minutes.
Fortunately, the passengers were evacuated using the stairs installed on the ride with the help of staff, and no injuries were reported.
Everland confirmed that there were no abnormalities after inspecting the ride and resumed operation after 4 hours.

An Everland official stated, "It is understood that the ride stopped because the safety monitoring sensor was activated," adding, "The specific cause of the sensor activation is under investigation."
