Prosecutors Request Pretrial Detention Warrant for Park Soo-hong's Older Brother on Embezzlement Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] The prosecution has requested a pre-arrest warrant for broadcaster Park Suhong's older brother.
On the 8th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had requested a pre-arrest warrant the day before for Park's older brother, who is accused of embezzlement under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.
Park's older brother is accused of establishing a management corporation together with his wife and embezzling appearance fees and other funds without honoring the profit-sharing agreement.
The prosecution is known to believe that Park's older brother embezzled corporate funds and failed to settle appearance fees, among other charges.
A pre-trial detention hearing for Park's older brother is scheduled to be held next week.

In June of last year, Park filed a criminal complaint against his older brother and also filed a lawsuit seeking approximately 8.6 billion won in damages with the court.
