Shinan-gun Provides Emergency Labor Support to Farms Affected by Typhoon Damage
[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] On the 8th, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do visited the export pear cultivation site in Aphae-eup, which suffered fruit drop damage from Typhoon Hinnamnor, the 11th typhoon, to console the affected farmers and provide emergency labor support.
This labor assistance involved a total of 140 personnel, including 70 public officials from Jeollanam-do Provincial Office, 40 soldiers from the Army 8332 Unit, and 30 members from the Nonghyup city and county branches. They collected fallen pears from 10 farms over 12 hectares and helped repair facilities to support the farmers' labor needs.
Jung Seong-sil, the representative of the Sinan Pear Export Complex in Aphae-eup, expressed gratitude, saying, "We were very anxious as pears ready for harvest fell due to the typhoon, but we are thankful for the help from public officials and related organizations."
